Honestly there isn't much one could add to the Courant endorsement of New Britain Mayor Tim Stewart. You may as well just go read it for yourself.
"Mr. Stewart, 46, on leave from his job as a fire inspector for the city, is seeking a third term. He's earned it. The last four budgets have resulted in three modest tax cuts for city residents and one 1-mill increase. At the same time, the city's bond rating has improved and officials have managed to steadily build up a rainy-day fund, an important fiscal cushion against unanticipated costs."
