On Thursday, May 24, 2007, the Connecticut Republicans will host our biggest event of the year, the annual Prescott Bush Awards Dinner. We gather to laud the many efforts of three tremendous Connecticut Republicans:
-Ann Giannattasio of Torrington will be awarded the Fenton P. Futtner Award for her dedicated service to Republican causes
-Rae Tramontano of New Haven will receive the Frederick K. Biebel Lifetime Achievement Award
-L. Scott Frantz of Greenwich is the 2007 recipient of the Prescott Bush Award
Former Tennessee Senator and current actor on the television show "Law and Order", the Honorable Fred Thompson, will deliver the keynote address to our guests on Thursday evening. The Senator is currently mulling a bid for the Republican nomination for President of the United States. The Prescott Bush Awards Dinner is the first major dinner of its kind for Senator Thompson since the announcement of his potential run.
