It's Almost Here

Election Day is nearly here and Republican municipal candidates all across Connecticut are working hard to get successful campaigns over the finish line. Throughout the day, we are going to be posting briefing materials to help you get ready to watch the fireworks tomorrow evening. First up, is a news roundup of local election coverage.

Connecticut Local Politics: Nominated as a Weblog of the Year (go vote for them), Genghis Conn went to the basement over the weekend -figuratively speaking, of course- and dug the maps out.

Simsbury: Perhaps one of the more interesting towns in play this year, Capitol Watch has coverage of Mary Glassman's challenge to Republican Tom Vincent and third party candidate Joe Romano.

New London Calling: They've got a post of predictions (part 1). We don't make predictions here but I generally like where NLC is going with this. Also, The Day endorsed a few Republicans this year for the Council in New London.

Authentic Connecticut Republican: The Southington Republicans are called to vote for their solid team of candidates.

Norwich Bulletin: A good plug for two Republicans, including a rising star, Chris Coutu.
