RTC Chair Tom Banisch Recognized in Register

Sunday's New Haven Register featured a story about Republican Town Committee Chair Tom Banisch and his wife, Eileen.

"On July 7, lucky 7-7-07, longtime sweethearts Tom Banisch and Eileen Speed tied the knot in the back yard of the historic home they were about to move into. Three hundred people attended the wedding, a testament to the couple's status as well-known town leaders and public volunteers."

"It has really good vibes," she said and then quickly added: "It's not haunted."

"Tom Banisch said he and Eileen hoped to have the much-loved pastor and fellow Rotary member officiate at their wedding, but Bower was too sick. He died a short time later at age 96."
