Thompson's Red Pickup Waits

MSNBC reports that the iconic red pickup truck from Fred Thompson's campaign for Tennessee Senate in 1994 remains, as it has been, parked in the backyard of his mom's house in Franklin, Tennessee.

Speculation continues to rage as to whether Fred Thompson will get in to the race for the Republican Presidential nomination - though the MSNBC article does seem to cast the Presidential campaign as singularly about whether or not Fred will be climbing behind the wheel of the red pickup and getting the engine to turn over. With the rhetoric from Thompson becoming sharper each day, look for Fred to be out in the backyard soon, trying to get that old Chevy revved up again.
