RNC Members Safe in Minneapolis

As the tragedy of the Minneapolis, Minnesota bridge collapse continues to dominate the headlines this evening, obviously the prayers of everyone at CTGOP go out to those affected by
the event.

We have received word that all of the members of the Connecticut Delegation to the Republican National Committee Summer meeting in Minneapolis are safe. Republican National Committeman Hon. John Frey, of Ridgefield, and Committeewoman Patricia Longo, of Wilton, arrived in the Twin Cities today ahead of the RNC meeting which begins tomorrow morning. The collapsed bridge is on the other side of the city from their location and they are not in harm's way.

It's often said that there is little to be said in situations like this. We can only offer condolences to those that have been killed, humble prayers of healing for the injured, and words of hope for all those who are dealing with the disaster tonight. May the Almighty watch over our fellow Americans as they rush to the aid of those in crisis.
