NRCC Targets Chris Murphy

Today the NRCC (National Republican Congressional Committee) added Freshman Congressman Chris Murphy (CT-5) to its targeted website The Real Democrat Story. This website already features fellow Freshman Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-2) as well as 26 other endangered democrat incumbents from around the country who are being targeted by the NRCC. On the site viewers can check both Courtney’s and Murphy’s voting records, view videos and read their statements before and after the 2006 election.

Also on the site, those who register can join in the conversation on the NRCC Blog Page which features interactive discussion. If one thing is certain it is that Rep. Courtney and Murphy will surely not have an easy task running for re-election with targets on their back by both the NRCC and Connecticut Republican State Central Committee in 2008. Already Sean Sullivan the former Groton Submarine Base Commander is running in the 2nd district and State Senator David Cappiello in the 5th.
