Sooooie - Democrats Can't Find Their Bacon

Despite their claims to be open and transparent about their requests for special “pork” projects, none of the four Democratic Congressmen from Connecticut have disclosed their wish lists, according to a CNN survey.

The CNN survey found that only 31 members of Congress came clean with their special project requests including our Christopher Shays, R-Bridgeport. Shays has released his requests which includes $116.7 million for a Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) system built by Norden Systems in Norwalk, $28 million for the Bridgeport Intermodal Center, $29 million for the Atlantic Rail Underpass Realignment in Stamford, $1 million to upgrade Norwalk Hospital’s electrical system, $7.3 million for dredging management of Long Island Sound and $5 million for nursing program at Fairfield University.

John Larson, Joe Courtney, Rosa DeLauro and Chris Murphy didn't respond. These are same crew who paraded before the voters last years claiming the Republicans were a corrupt bunch of porkmeisters who couldn't control themselves. Truth is that there was too much spending from everyone, but most projects that are needed here in Connecticut, were vetted when it came to Republicans. Rob Simmons went for the goods and delivered them without apologies. Everyone benefited from it.

But we don't know what our Gang of Four is up to, because they won't tell us. Why? Maybe it's because they are more worried about shaking down donors and moving up the Democratic leadership food chain.

Anyway, for those who like to hear an old Razorback hog call click here.
