After a laborious three-day recount, Enfield Republicans emerged with a super majority on the Town Council by a five-vote margin. For the first time in three decades, Republicans will also have simultaneous control of the council and Board of Education.
Mayor-Elect Scott Kaupin will lead a 7-4 majority Monday, November 19 after the GOP is sworn in at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers. The Board of Education will be sworn in on Tuesday, November 20th at 6:30 p.m. at John F. Kennedy School.
