What is the Republican party doing in Hartford? It seems this year with the fractured Democratic field and an embattled mayor, the Republicans finally have a chance.
In 2003, Perez won with 7590 votes to McGarry's 1876, with 564 to an independent. Even if McCauley gets McGarry's number and Perez and the other Democrats split the rest, he could win. The party's support in Hartford this year has been disappointing. I think the CT GOP secretly wants Perez re-elected.
State Central has supportive of Stan McCauley since he was nominated in July. We have worked hand-in-glove with his campaign on a number of issues. It hasn't be flawless certainly but those familiar with our relationship understand that CTGOP has no secret desire to re-elect Eddie Perez or any other Democrat in Connecticut.
Typo - We've been supportive since July.
Also, we have been happy to help the Council candidates as well, in the cases where it has been asked for.
Another brave anonymous poster challenges CTGOP....
So brave, indeed.
